At Wagners CFT, we use a pull winding process known as ‘pultrusion’ to create our FRP structural profiles . These sections resemble the geometry and shape of traditional circular and square hollow sections, but they’re made from fibreglass reinforcements and vinyl ester resins. Fibreglass reinforced polymer is an incredible high strength material that is stronger than steel and meets all stiffness criteria; with Wagners CFT FRP structural profiles achieving an Elastic Modulus of 40 (E40) which is well above the competition.
And when it comes to strength, our glass ratio is unbeatable – at 76% glass. This makes our pultruded FRP structural profiles one of the world’s strongest. Wagners CFT have established a core group of primary raw material suppliers from around the globe to enable us to create the strongest FRP structural profiles for customers while at the same time maximising cost efficiency.
Wagners CFT is at the cutting edge of manufacturing innovative structural composite sections. We use a unique pull-winding process that can substitute steel, metal, aluminium and wood in infrastructure projects or engineering applications effectively.
After pultrusion is complete we have our structural profiles in hollow circle, square or rectangle shapes. We then transform these during post-processing into angles, i-beams, c-channels and so forth, to offer a comprehensive range of structural profiles.
The final stages involve coating all products with a UV resistant layer, bonding, drilling, inserting, and assembly. This process ensures our FRP products are engineered to perfection and ready to stand the test of time.
