Wagners Composite Fibre Technologies (CFT) produces one of the world’s strongest pultruded Fibre Reinforced Polymer (FRP) light poles for Council’s property developers and landscape architects in Australia, New Zealand and neighbouring Pacific Ocean Islands.  Our light poles are the perfect alternative to traditional materials and with our internationally recognised and third-party verified Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), are the carbon conscious choice for asset owners looking to decarbonise construction projects.

Performance Advantages of choosing Wagners FRP light poles include:

  • Cost competitive owing to reduced maintenance and replacement cycles
  • Durable with an expected 50-year design life
  • Electrically insulating = no touch potential
  • Inert, so will not rust, rot or corrode
  • Non-leaching so perfect for community projects and areas of environmental value
  • Resistant to termites and acid sulfate soils
  • Lightweight (50% lighter than timber poles) making them easier to transport and install
  • Plus asset owners enjoy the benefits of choosing Wagners FRP light poles decades after installation through reduced ongoing maintenance costs and replacement cycles

100% Australian designed, manufactured and tested, Wagners FRP light poles are non-conductive, resistant to acid sulfate soils and termites and because they are chemically inert, will not rot, rust or corrode.  Wagners FRP light poles are fire rating tested to AS1530.8.1, network approved NZTA M26 and light weight for easy transportation and installation.  Wagners FRP light poles are also non-leaching which means they are perfect for areas of high conservation value.

The utilization of pultruded Fibre Reinforced Polymer (FRP) materials in civil/infrastructure applications is increasing rapidly given their superior characteristics such as high strength, lightweight, excellent durability, corrosion resistance, easy of transportation, speed of assembly and nonmagnetic/nonconductive nature.

Light poles are one of the most promising applications for pultruded FRP composite products instead of traditional poles as they provide a sustainable solution for the frequent replacement of existing infrastructure due to ageing and degration.
