Due to the lightweight nature of FRP products, there is reduced structural fatigue in electrical poles supporting an FRP crossarm in comparison to its wood counterparts.

Unique Protection

Wagners CFT provides a protective layer of insulation to electrical crossarms which results in an increased network reliability due to its high insulation strength.

Additionally, Wagners CFT crossarms are nonconductive and self-extinguishing. In fact, it takes three times longer to ignite a Wagners composite crossarm compared to one made from traditional materials. Since composite crossarms do not sustain a flame, the risk of pole-top fires is practically eliminated.

Installing FRP Crossarms

Being one third of the weight of its timber alternatives, FRP cross arms are lighter and easier to transport, carry and install at height. In fact, the lightweight nature of fibreglass makes it possible for the cross arm to be carried to the install site in hard to access locations, which may reduce risk from a health and safety perspective.
