Nagambie Foreshore Walk is a 1.6-kilometre pathway that runs along Lake Nagambie’s southern edge in Victoria, Australia. The walkways are perfect for walkers, cyclists, families, and nature enthusiasts looking to experience the peaceful surroundings of the lake and spectacular views across the water.

Wagners Composite Fibre Technologies (CFT) supplied the Australian made Fibre Reinforced Polymer (FRP) structural profiles for Strathbogie Shire Council’s flyover water walkways. The walkways were then installed by Shepparton-based engineering and construction business Gradian Projects.

At 2.5 metres wide, the path is accessible for both walkers and cyclists and provides a safe and accessible link between the Nagambie Regatta Centre, Lakes Leisure Park and the town centre. Lake Nagambie is a popular spot for fishing, sailing, canoeing, water skiing and swimming for locals and visitors alike and hosts numerous rowing and kayaking championships through the year.

FRP is the perfect solution for this project as it is:

  • Durable – with an expected 100-year design life
  • Inert – fully resistant to rot, rust or corrode
  • Cost effective – reduced maintenance/replacement cycles
  • Non-leaching, so perfect for marine applications
  • Lightweight, making it safer to handle, transport and install
  • Modular by design

One of the highlights of the Nagambie Foreshore Walk is its peaceful atmosphere and the opportunity to connect with nature. It’s a popular spot for birdwatching, as the area is home to a diverse range of bird species, including waterfowl and native bush birds.

Whether you’re looking to relax by the water, enjoy a peaceful walk, or learn about the local flora and fauna, the Nagambie Foreshore Walk offers an enriching experience. The walk also features picnic areas, making it an ideal spot for a leisurely lunch or an afternoon of relaxation with friends and family, surrounded by the natural beauty of the lake.
