Brisbane 2001 flood

Wagners Boardwalks Endure the Brisbane Floods

The Brisbane floods took a heavy toll on boardwalks and structures around the city, washing away some of Brisbane's most beloved land marks and damaging many other pedestrian walkways. Every one of the 30 plus Wagners CFT structures made it through the flood muddied but unscathed. After close inspection by the BCC and Wagners staff, all structures were opened to the public the next day. The riverside structures performed flawlessly against the torrent of muck and debris, demonstrating the robust qualities that councils can count on from Wagners CFT structures. The total maintenance costs to bring the structures back to pre flood condition were a quick pressure wash and handrail wipe down.
